If you are a CLAT aspirant it is important to plan your studies and preparation beforehand so that you taste success in your first attempt itself.
You will have to brush up on your grammar and vocab, you will have to practice math and reasoning and you will have to have a good knowledge of current affairs and law.

• HAVE GOOD GK AND AWARENESS OF CURRENT AFFAIRS:-
If you are going for the CLAT exam then you should have good general knowledge and awareness of current affairs. You should read papers like TOI and Economic times and magazines like Frontline and guides like the manorama year book so as to brush on your knowledge and this will definitely help you perform better in the exam.
• PRACTICE MATHS AND LOGICAL REASONING:-
Math’s and reasoning are not easy. You will have to work hard on these two. There will be 20 questions of basic class 10th level math and you need to brush up your knowledge of percentage, profit and loss, simple interest compound Interest, average & mixture, time and work, and probability etc.
As for logical reasoning there will be 40 questions to test your logical reasoning skills. This will include questions on logical sequence, deductions or syllogism, analogies, odd man out, statement and assumptions etc.
• GUAGE YOUR LEAGAL APTITUDE:-
There will be 50 questions in this section and it will test your legal aptitude. This section is not just about knowledge and information but also about application and usage of principles and laws. The questions can be from Torts, Law of Contracts and Criminal law and legal GK and they change every year.
It is thus a good idea to practice previous year’s papers to get the feel of this section and thus improve your legal aptitude.
• GRAMMAR AND VOCAB FOR ENGLISH QUESTIONS:-
There are 40 questions in this sections which test a student’s comprehension, grammar and vocabulary. You should try to learn as many new words as possible and thus improve on your vocab. Also you should brush up your grammar by studying from a good grammar guide.
Last but not the least you should practice and practice hard so that you become an expert on the CLAT exam. Solve as many previous years papers as possible, take mock tests, practice with your teachers and students and keep improving your vocab, reasoning, math and English. Practice and more practice is the secret to get a good score in CLAT.
